TAIEA

TAIEA is the fusion of creativity and passion from māmā of three, Te Rina  MacLeod (Ngāti Kahungunu), and her husband, Dr. Jeremy Tātere MacLeod (Ngāti Kahungunu).

Recently diagnosed with inattentive ADHD, Te Rina embraced her ‘superpower,’ channelling her words and emotions into design, art, and fashion. With a unique vision of the world, her culture, language, and customs, she translates these into beautiful, inclusive, and accessible clothing.

Founded in Aotearoa during a time when Māori culture, values, language, and identity faced relentless challenges, TAIEA emerged as a powerful and positive reaction, transforming noise and anger into a movement and celebration of te ao Māori. Through her designs, Te Rina expresses tino rangatiratanga (self-determination) with style, elegance, and class.

Te Rina’s vision is for people to feel pride and a deep connection to their culture, identity, and language when wearing TAIEA, showcasing these with grace and confidence.
